The Texas Department of Rural Affairs was created by the 77th Legislature to develop policy specifically addressing economic and quality of life issues affecting small and rural communities across Texas. TDRA awards grant dollars for Community Development projects in two-year intervals. The last competition took place in fiscal year 2009 and awarded funds for projects for fiscal years 2009 and 2010. The HOTCOG Community Development program supports the Community Development Grant Program through support of the Regional Review Committee, and it administers the Texas Review and Comment System for the Region.
