From big malls to the perfect antique shops, the Heart of Texas is a shopper’s paradise!

The Heart of Texas has every conceivable shopping experience, from the latest wares found across the country to the unique vintage articles found only in the region. Mall shopping opportunities in the region are centered in the Waco MSA. The Richland Mall has the big mall acreage experience, with all of the stores typically found in those settings. The Magnolia Market at the Silos in Waco is much more than a shopping experience. Entertainment, dining and a garden shop supplement the stores in the downtown Waco area owned by Chip and Joanna Gaimes of HGTV fame. And new development is on the way in the form of projects like the Cottonwood Creek Market, a 143-acre mixed commercial development in Waco currently under construction.

Magnolia Market at the Silos, in Waco, has become a destination shopping event, with options to shop, dine, stroll through a garden and Seed & Supply store or attend an outdoor event.

The Richland Mall, in Waco, houses many large, familiar stores like Dillard's, H&M, Aéropostale®, Champs, Hollister, American Eagle and Bath & Body Works.

The Central Texas Marketplace, in Waco, offers a number of similar fashion retailers, home furnishing shops and dining.

LaSalle Shoppes, in a 1940’s building built as a layover for folks travelling between Austin and Dallas. 2020 was the antique shop’s ninth anniversary, with over 200 small businesses spending time in the location.

The Craft Gallery houses over 160 different shops and boutiques selling their original home accents, vintage and repurposed items not to be found elsewhere.

The Heart of Texas Region is also known for its antique or vintage shopping. The Stone Counties Vintage/Antique Trail is a series of shops in the towns of Limestone and Freestone County. Several shops in Mexia, Wortham, Teague and Fairfield offer a number of different venues to look for the perfect, unique item for every shopper.

The Wortham Antique Mall, in downtown Wortham, is filled with eclectic collections of antiques and vintage finds.

The Lazy Texan Trading Co., Teague is now known as The Warehouse, after combining with the Junkin Gypsie and Country Clutter. Together, the buy, sell and trade antiques and collectibles.

Cucklebur Trading, in Fairfield, is a family-owned antique and junk store.
