Behind on your mortgage because of Covid? TEMAP may help!
Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) made CDBG CARES funds available through a competitive application process to cities, counties, local and regional nonprofits and regional organizations to provide mortgage assistance in their jurisdictions, service areas or target. Through TEMAP’s competitive process, local service providers will be awarded funds to assist homeowners at or below 80% of the Area Medium Income who have been economically impacted by COVID-19 to help provide housing stability during the pandemic. The program can pay up to six months of an eligible homeowner’s mortgage, including payments in arrears, with at least one of those months covering a future month.
Homeowners must contact a service provider in their area for assistance. The Heart of Texas Council of Governments (HOTCOG) is the regional TEMAP service provider for Bosque, Falls, Hill, and Limestone Counties. Contact a HOTCOG representative at 254-292-1800.
This program awards funds on a first requested first awarded basis. Completing this form is just the initial start of the information exchange, as there are more forms to complete.
