The Heart of Texas Economic Development District (HOTEDD) is providing businesses with a comprehensive development strategy that is designed to be a blueprint for regional economic growth.
HOTEDD is designated as an Economic Development District (EDD) by the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) and is responsible for serving Bosque, Falls, Freestone, Hill, Limestone, and McLennan Counties. HOTEDD is designed to help businesses in the region create and develop a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).
The CEDS planning process is prepared by HOTEDD which serves as a coordinating entity that helps implement and approve CEDS for businesses. The purpose of the CEDS is to provide baseline information on demographics, economic data, economic development strategies, implementation plans and goals, and to identify potential projects within the region.
